EPCOM model: PG12100 / PG12200 / PG2200

The EPCOM OPzV series consists of Pure Gel batteries with tubular plate technology, designed and manufactured according to DIN standards, incorporating a die-cast positive grid and a patented active material formula. Its sealed VRLA electrochemical architecture with gelled electrolyte ensures maintenance-free operation throughout its service life, eliminating the need for water refills or electrolyte level checks. These batteries offer exceptional cyclic performance, reaching 3000 cycles at 50% depth of discharge (DOD) and 1800 cycles at 80% DOD at 25°C, with a design service life of over 20 years. The high-quality tubular plate construction eliminates the risk of active material shedding, ensuring extraordinary reliability even under extreme operating conditions. The OPzV series is available in 2 Vdc and 12 Vdc configurations with capacities from 100 Ah to 2000 Ah, making it the optimal solution for demanding cyclic applications in the telecommunications, solar photovoltaic, emergency systems, and power plant sectors.

Technical Notes

EPCOM OPzV batteries are designed for demanding cyclic applications where high resistance to deep discharge and long operational life are required. Pure Gel technology with tubular plates offers significant advantages over conventional AGM batteries in terms of cyclability and resistance to extreme temperature conditions. For proper battery bank sizing, it is recommended to consider the specific charge/discharge profile of the installation, the target depth of discharge, and the ambient operating temperature. Series/parallel connection should be performed following the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure optimal charge balance between cells.
