Technical Characteristics
The Category 6A/Class EA cable is manufactured with 23 AWG copper conductors with PE foam and HDPE (CM and CMR) or Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) HDPE insulation. The copper conductors are twisted into pairs, separated by a tape-type divider. The four pairs are surrounded by a Vari-MaTriX tape and a flame-retardant jacket. The tape minimizes the cable diameter and suppresses the effects of alien crosstalk while retaining the electromagnetic interference immunity of UTP. The small cable diameter maximizes density so that existing raceways can be used when replacing Category 6 cabling.
