The BB-17F is a metal cabinet from Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell designed to house up to two 17 Ah backup batteries when the required capacity exceeds the space available inside the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP). It mounts directly below the FACP cabinet and is connected via conduit between both cabinets. It is used in Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) that require more electrical backup autonomy than can fit within the panel itself.
