Surge protection for Gigabit Ethernet / PoE+ devices in this Transtector SPD component is provided in the form of a gas discharge tube (GDT). This data line TVSS uses gas discharge tube (GDT) circuitry to protect electronic devices from spikes. Transient lightning surge suppression and high-power electrical surge events for PoE are handled through GDT protection circuits in the data line SPD. The ALPU-L130 commercial Gigabit Ethernet / PoE+ surge protection device is EN / IEC 60950-1 and UL 497B compliant.
