Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does a UPS turn on automatically after a power outage?
Yes, a UPS should automatically restore power after an outage.
In many cases, the voltage levels of the electrical grid are not optimal; that is, upon the return of power, there may be very high or low values that the UPS does not consider normal, therefore, a manual reset (pressing the button on the equipment) will be required to restore service.
In the event of this situation, the use of voltage regulators prior to the UPS is recommended to avoid this problem in areas with input voltage fluctuations.
Voltage Dynamic Range (AVR)
The Voltage Dynamic Range (AVR) in the Epcom Power Line® RTOL2U series UPS helps stabilize the incoming AC signal; it is responsible for controlling high and low voltages, keeping the output power at a nominal level of 120V, reducing system failures, and significantly increasing battery life.
Configurable output voltages
Some Epcom Power Line® models can be configured with selectable output voltages: 100 V / 110 V / 115 V / 120 V / 127 V AC.
