DAT CONTROLER® PLUS is an early streamer emission (ESE) air terminal that bases its operation on the electrical characteristics of lightning formation, emitting a continuous upward tracer before any other object within its protection radius, a characteristic formally defined as the trigger advance time (ΔT). The greater the anticipation in the formation of the upward tracer, the greater the distance at which it captures the downward tracer, protecting against lightning over a larger area (standards limit it to ΔT≤60 μs).
