Installation Instructions

  1. Mount the extension base using #8 1-1/2' screws through the extension base mounting holes.
  2. Connect the SLC loop wiring as shown in Figure 3 or Figure 4.
  3. Connect the wiring harness to the smoke base as shown in Figure 5.
  4. Connect the harness to the connector.
  5. Connect the smoke base (P/N SD505-6AB) to the extension base (P/N 120505) using #8 1/2' screws.

Important Notes

  • Installation and wiring must be performed in accordance with NFPA 72 and local ordinances.
  • All wiring is supervised and power-limited.
  • Do not use more than 256 isolator devices (SD505-LIM or SD505-6IB) on an SLC loop.
  • Do not overtighten the screws.
