The Federal Signal AS124 Series speaker is constructed with a composite housing made of a material known as P.E.T (Polyethylene Terephthalate), which makes it a lightweight and cost-effective speaker.
The housing is weatherproof and immune to both heat and corrosion; it also offers the versatility of being mounted horizontally or vertically using its stainless steel bolts.
The AS124 driver is manufactured with a Neodymium magnetic material, which is a very strong and efficient driver that allows the AS124 to meet or exceed SAE, CCR, California Title 13, and Class 'A' specification requirements for audio output.
The material the housing is composed of is rated as heat-resistant / non-flammable (UL Class 94HB).
