Quickly verify fiber activity, polarity, and connectivity with the FiberLert™ Live Fiber Detector. Simply place it in front of the fiber termination or port, and it will indicate if there is an active fiber (from 850 nm to 1625 nm) via a light and a tone, without the need for configuration or interpretation. This pocket-sized tool tests both single-mode and multimode UPC and APC ports and patch cords with a non-contaminating, non-contact detector. The LightBeat™ feature flashes the LED to indicate that the device is on and the batteries are in good condition. A timer turns off the FiberLert™ after five minutes of inactivity to extend battery life (2 x AAA, included). The rugged design includes a convenient pocket clip and is backed by a two-year warranty.
