The IDP-Beam is an addressable photoelectric beam smoke detector with a single-ended reflective design for use with Silent Knight IFP series fire alarm control panels (FACP). It is designed to protect open areas with high ceilings, such as warehouses, auditoriums, or industrial hangars, where other smoke detection methods are difficult to install and maintain. When smoke reduces the beam signal between the unit and the reflector below a pre-set threshold, the detector triggers the alarm. It integrates into the panel's signaling line circuit (SLC) using rotary switch addressing.
