The GS601 is an advanced vaping and smoke detector that utilizes LoRaWAN® technology for wireless data transmission. Equipped with multiple integrated sensors, it detects vaping events, smoke, TVOC, PM particles, and environmental conditions. Designed for indoor environments such as restrooms, classrooms, locker rooms, and apartments, it provides local alerts via LED and buzzer, as well as remote reporting through the Milesight Development Platform.

LoRaWAN Ecosystem: What do you need to operate?

LoRaWAN sensors operate remotely and in real-time, but require three elements to function:

  1. LoRaWAN Sensor — The device that captures data (temperature, humidity, movement, etc.)
  2. LoRaWAN Gateway — Receives the signal from the sensors and sends it to the internet. Coverage varies by model: from 2 km in urban areas to 15 km in open fields. See Item
  3. Management Platform — Software where you view data, configure alerts, and manage your fleet of sensors (e.g., Milesight IoT Cloud, Datacake). See Item

Without a gateway, there is no connectivity. Without a platform, there is no visualization.
