2-Wire Photoelectric Smoke Detector with Heat Sensor and Relay, i3 Series

General Description

i3™ Series smoke detectors with sounder and/or relay represent a significant technological advancement in conventional detection, featuring enriched capabilities for simple installation, instant inspection, and intelligence to reject false alarms.

All i3 series detectors come equipped with drift compensation algorithms and mathematical curve adjustment. These algorithms minimize the incidence of false alarms caused by short-term effects, such as electromagnetic induction and/or radio frequency interference, and long-term effects like dust accumulation. When 2-wire i3 detectors are connected to the 2WMOD2 loop maintenance and test module or an i3 protocol-compatible panel (i3 Ready™), they will generate a remote maintenance signal when a detector enters a cleaning condition and/or a freeze trouble condition when the ambient temperature surrounding the detector falls below 5°C. To measure the sensitivity level of any i3 detector, the SENSRDR inspection module is used, which allows the numerical sensitivity value, expressed as a percentage of obscuration per foot, to be viewed in a few seconds.
