General benefits of a good network design
- Load balancing and fail-over between two ISPs.
- Reduction of 'single points of failure' (SPOF).
- Separate VLANs to prevent CCTV cameras, sensitive data, or guest traffic from mixing.
- Firewall policies and ACLs specific to each VLAN.
- Prioritizes voice (VoIP), video surveillance, or critical applications over 'lighter' downloads.
- Prevents jitter and latency in calls and cameras.
- Easy addition of new APs, switches, or VLANs without redesigning from scratch.
- Unified management (Ruijie Cloud or local interface) of router, switch, and AP.
- PoE+ equipment eliminates the need for separate power supplies for cameras and APs.
- Simplified maintenance thanks to granular traffic visibility.
