Load Center Kit with Lightning Surge Suppressor and DC Circuit Breaker
The use of this KIT is recommended in photovoltaic systems for direct current protection. Its main application is in grid-tie systems between the solar panel array and the central inverter. The circuit breaker is an 800 VDC, 20 A, 2-pole model, intended to protect both the positive and negative sides of the array.
The kit includes:

Recommended use of the LA302DC
Use this voltage surge suppressor before the regulator in your photovoltaic system. This will prevent damage due to current spikes caused by unexpected electrical discharges.

Operation
When a lightning strike occurs, the suppressor will take the damage; in the event of a direct strike with intensity greater than that indicated in the technical specifications and with sufficient heat and accumulated voltage, the suppressor will open a hole of approximately one inch in the bottom of the canister and expel hot silicon and plastic fragments, performing its maximum blocking function and protecting the circuit. Install the canister outside the cabinet as shown in the images.
System application
In a grid-tie system, it is installed at the circuit breaker where the modules arrive at the inverter, respecting the colors and polarities as shown in the previous image; for microinverters, this can be omitted.
