The KDA-05 lightning rod system is a lightning protection system (LPS). It serves to intercept, conduct, and dissipate lightning current and internal elements through bonding, shielding, and grounding. The goal of an LPS is to reduce the risk of damage to people and other living beings, as well as structures, buildings, and their contents.
Offers 300m of protection diameter.
Includes the following components:
Complementary accessories (Not included):
Electrode inspection well.
Protective spray for connectors.
Bronze connector.
Rod connector.
THW-LS Coated Copper Cable 4/0 AWG gauge.

KD05 Tip Description
Lightning capturing and current conducting tip designed in high-conductivity aluminum, which is part of an external lightning protection system (ELPS) to reduce the risk of damage that lightning can cause.
It seeks to reduce the incidence of strikes by up to 95% due to its magneto-active operation.
It is recommended to consider the NMX-J-549-ANCE-2005 standard, which suggests that a lightning protection system (LPS) should have an internal lightning protection system (ILPS) and an external lightning protection system (ELPS).
The KDA-05 tip is part of the external protection, while the internal part corresponds to the transient surge suppressors (TSS) from the TOTAL GROUND brand.
