EXAMPLE OF AN ASPIRATION SYSTEM

Aspiration devices are ideal for locations where debris concentrates in the air, as conventional spot-type detectors can become contaminated and accumulate this debris in the detector head if exposed to such environments, thus delaying detection, causing false alarms, and requiring recurring maintenance visits, which is a problem of wasted time (man-hours) in site operations and economic losses due to equipment replacement. Air-sampling detectors use filters that can be replaced when the detector indicates it; they are not susceptible to false alarms, but are very sensitive when detecting any source of smoke. They can be installed at heights above any other detector, as aspiration is active detection. It is the unbeatable solution for places like sawmills, cement plants, hospitals, textile factories, and any other place where sensitive and reliable detection is required.
