The Micro OPM is an instrument that combines an optical power meter (OPM) and visual fault locator (VFL), providing fiber optic technicians with the tools they need to troubleshoot FTT(x) and point-to-point networks. The Micro OPM is compatible with single-mode and multi-mode networks.

The OPM uses an InGaAs diode and is calibrated at 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm. It features tone detection at 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz to measure and identify all common wavelengths.

The VFL uses a 1 mW 650 nm laser that can be used to safely detect macro-bends, contaminated or defective connectors, and broken or damaged fibers. The white LED can be used to assist the technician while working in low-light areas.
