LoRaWAN Ecosystem: What do you need to get started?
LoRaWAN sensors operate remotely and in real-time, but they require three elements to function:
- LoRaWAN Sensor — The device that captures data (temperature, humidity, motion, etc.)
- LoRaWAN Gateway — Receives the signal from the sensors and sends it to the internet. Coverage varies by model: from 2 km in urban areas up to 15 km in open fields. View Product
- Management Platform — Software where you visualize data, configure alerts, and manage your sensor fleet (e.g., Milesight IoT Cloud, Datacake). View Product
Without a gateway, there is no connectivity. Without a platform, there is no visualization.
Immediate warning against water damage
The WS303 will sound an alarm and send a remote alert when a water leak or spill occurs or when the floor gets wet.
Sensitivity that exceeds expectations
The WS303 sensor uses water conductivity to detect a minimum water level of 0.5 mm by forming a circuit with two small metal probes. (Other conductive liquids are also supported).
