Maintenance
Solar panels require very little to no maintenance. It is not recommended to open the diode box as these are sealed; if it is strictly necessary to do so, follow these steps:
Using a fine-tipped flathead screwdriver, push the tip of the plastic clips in the opposite direction and carefully remove the cover from top to bottom as shown in the video.
Warranty recommendations and comments
- Any product claim must be made within the warranty period with the original invoice.
- The unit serial number must be visible, as well as the rear label.
- If the module's MC-4 connectors are cut, the module immediately loses its warranty.
- Do not install where any object casts a shadow at any point during the day; this is considered improper installation and may be grounds for voiding the warranty.
- Do not mix modules of different power ratings on the same controller or inverter; this is considered improper installation and may be grounds for voiding the warranty.
- It is recommended to use the EP-MC4 crimping tool when attaching the EPL01 connectors to the cable that will be used to connect your module to the inverter or controller.
Note: Electrical specifications are indicated under an irradiance of 1000 W/m² and a temperature of 25 ºC.
Installation comment
To prevent damage to the module cable connection, you must use zip ties on the cable during installation so they are not left loose; the weight of the cable and the wind can damage the diode box.
