Forged wire rope clip for guy wire installations for constant load or high demand applications.

Meets FFC 4500 Type 1, class 1 specification.

Recommended torque: 45 lb-ft.
Minimum number of clips per connection: 2.
Distance from the thimble at which the first clip should be installed: 6-1/2'

Steps for the correct installation of a Wire Rope Clip:

The length required to install clips in each case is obtained by multiplying the diameter by 25 up to 1' and by 35 up to 2'.

1. Fold the steel cable to the required measurement to form the eye, install the first clip next to the dead end of the cable, approx. 10 cm, and secure it with the "U" section, while the load line must rest against and be supported by the saddle of the clip; adjust the thimble in the loading position.

2. Install the second clip in the same way at the other end, next to the thimble; fasten firmly but not yet to the required force.

3. Place the third clip (if applicable) exactly in the middle of the other two. All clips must have the same orientation.

4. Apply light tension, tighten, and readjust the nuts gradually and alternately until reaching the recommended torque.

5. Check each and every clip before carrying out the first maneuver and subsequently at regular intervals, as the tension tends to stretch the cable and, consequently, decrease its diameter.
