Industrial-grade Ethernet patch cords are manufactured with Category 6A twisted pair cable for UTP or STP installations. Each cable is pre-terminated to include Category 6A industrial plugs at each end that follow the T568B standard. They include IP65/IP67 industrial-rated connectors at both ends, or an IP65/IP67 industrial-rated connector at one end and an IP20-rated RJ45 connector at the other. They must include tethered caps on the industrial connectors to protect connectivity when not connected. An IP65/IP67 rating must be achieved when mated with an IP65/IP67 industrial-grade connector and NEMA UL Type 12.
