Programming instructions
- Install the sensor in the programmer, ensuring that the sensor tabs line up with the programmer slots
- Press the left button to turn on the programmer. A firmware and battery check message will appear, followed by the device address (factory default addresses are 127 or 255)
- Set the required address by incrementing the left and right buttons (the display will show three flashing dots if the address being programmed is different from the device's current address)
- When the desired address appears, press the top button to store that address. The flashing dots on the display will disappear and the device can be disconnected
Smoke detector test
- Install the detector and turn on the programmer
- Press the top button. An 'A' will appear on the display followed by the analog value
- The value will update continuously for three minutes. Typical values in clean air for a clean detector are between 56-66
- A clean air value greater than 87 indicates that the detector needs to be cleaned
Display messages

- E1: Attempting to program an address with no device connected
- E2: Device not found after startup
- E3: Invalid sensor response
- E4: Device program not found
- E5: Device read error
- E6: Failure during analog value reading
