AltaPass Multi-Password Technology

AltaPass is an exclusive feature of Alta Labs that allows clients to connect to the same SSID wireless network using different passwords. Clients are provided with different levels of network and Internet access depending on the password they use to connect to the network.

When creating a password, select one of the predefined standard use cases. The password can also be associated with a specific upload or download speed, a VLAN, or configured to bypass filtering rules, hotspot functionality, or ignore the schedule.

• Standard/Small: Typical network with fewer than 100 WiFi clients/devices.
• Large: Optimized for hundreds or thousands of WiFi clients/devices.
• IoT: Restricted to Internet and local incoming connections only.
• Internet Only: Restricted to Internet only.
• Guest: Restricted to Internet and IoT devices.

Advanced Filtering: DPI Engine

Alta Labs access points feature a powerful integrated Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine. By incorporating this feature directly into the access points, there is no need to purchase additional hardware to take advantage of this powerful tool.

• Restrict access to websites, apps, or app types. Filter settings are easily applied in the Alta Labs web management interface. Select apps or app types from the Block Apps dropdown menu. Block websites by entering their domain names in the Block Domains field.
