The Teltonika FMC003 is a vehicle GPS tracker with an OBDII interface that integrates 4G LTE CAT 1 connectivity with 2G (GSM/GPRS) fallback, designed for professional telematics applications, light commercial vehicle fleet management, insurance telematics (UBI), and vehicle leasing. Its ability to read OEM parameters through the OBD port allows for obtaining real odometer data, fuel level, and up to 32 additional vehicle parameters, with pre-defined compatibility lists by model that eliminate uncertainty about what data can be extracted from each unit. The device incorporates a multi-constellation GNSS receiver (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, SBAS, QZSS, DGPS, AGPS) with accuracy of less than 3 meters and tracking sensitivity of -165 dBm, ensuring reliable positioning even in dense urban environments. Its ultra-low power architecture offers multiple operating modes—Ultra Deep Sleep, Deep Sleep, Online Deep Sleep, and GPS Sleep—with consumption as low as 3 mA, supported by an internal 170 mAh lithium-ion battery that maintains operation during OBD port disconnections. Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity allows for integration with external temperature and humidity sensors, barcode scanners, as well as wireless firmware updates and configuration, complementing a feature set that includes overspeed detection, geofencing, jammer detection, and towing detection.
