LoRaWAN sensors operate remotely and in real-time, but they require three elements to function:
- LoRaWAN Sensor — The device that captures data (temperature, humidity, motion, etc.)
- LoRaWAN Gateway — Receives the signal from the sensors and sends it to the internet. Coverage varies by model: from 2 km in urban areas to 15 km in open fields. View Item
- Management Platform — Software where you visualize data, configure alerts, and manage your fleet of sensors (e.g., Milesight IoT Cloud, Datacake). View Item
Without a gateway, there is no connectivity. Without a platform, there is no visualization.
Monitor noise levels with ease
WS302 is an advanced LoRaWAN® sensor for monitoring noise/sound levels in decibels (dB) with ease.
- Measurement range from 30 to 120 dBA
- ± 3 dB Accuracy; 0.1 dB Resolution
- Weighting, C-weighting, and Fast Time weighting
- Units of measurement: Real SPL, Leq, and Lmax
A and C weighting as needed
Choose A-weighting or C-weighting depending on the scenarios. Typically, A-weighting is appropriate for quiet environments, while C-weighting is for noisy environments.
Fast time weighting
Fast time weighting uses a 125-millisecond time constant to measure unstable noise with large fluctuations.
- Fast weighting is disabled by default. When turned on, battery life will be shortened.

Supports reporting of three sound level values (Maximum Sound Level, Sound Pressure Level, and Equivalent Continuous Sound Level) based on different weighting methods.
